More than a week after being discharged from the hospital, Jet Li was spotted looking frail and hunched over, leaving fans deeply worried about his health.
The martial arts legend recently shocked the public by posting a photo from a hospital bed, where he appeared gaunt and was seen in a wheelchair during treatment. However, the actor reassured fans shortly afterward that he had been discharged.

According to China Times, Jet Li was later seen at Beijing Airport, wearing a blue jacket and cap while pushing his luggage alone. Videos circulated online showed his noticeably thin frame and bent posture, prompting concerns that his recovery after surgery might not be complete. Some netizens expressed unease that he was traveling without assistance, while others urged him to prioritize rest and self-care for a full recovery.

Jet Li has long battled hyperthyroidism, a condition that has caused significant changes to his appearance and previously fueled false rumors of his death. He admitted that long-term medication has led to frequent physical fluctuations, along with visible symptoms such as bulging eyes and a swollen neck—factors that made him hesitant to appear in public. Reports suggest that his most recent hospital stay was relatively short and not overly severe.
In a past conversation, Li revealed that he once experienced a period resembling autism, where he feared crowds, withdrew socially, and isolated himself. He attributed this to becoming famous at a young age and constantly being surrounded by public attention, which he found exhausting.

Born in 1963 in Beijing, Jet Li is celebrated as one of Asia’s greatest martial arts stars. A five-time national wushu champion, he transitioned to film with Shaolin Temple (1982), solidifying his status as a cultural icon. Beyond cinema, Li is active in philanthropy, founding the One Foundation after the 2004 tsunami to support disaster relief and children’s welfare.
