According to PR agency YTree Company on August 26, Last Summer tells the story of two childhood friends who uncover the truth about their first love, hidden deep inside a Pandora’s box of secrets. Last Summer brings together director Min Yeon-hong (The Impossible Heir, Missing: The Other Side, Insider) and screenwriter Jeon Yoo-ri (Kiss Sixth Sense, Radio Romance), promising a combination of heartfelt romance and suspenseful storytelling. Director Min previously collaborated with Lee Jae-wook on The Impossible Heir, making this project a highly anticipated reunion.

In the drama, Lee Jae-wook will take on his first-ever dual role, portraying twin brothers Baek Do-ha, a skilled architect, and the enigmatic Baek Do-young. Choi Sung-eun will star as Song Ha-kyung, a government employee in architecture who has grown up bickering with Do-ha since childhood but gradually develops feelings for him—only to be shaken by the shocking truth surrounding the twins.

Lee Jae-wook has previously impressed audiences with roles in Alchemy of Souls, Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol, Extraordinary You, The Impossible Heir, and Dear Hongrang. Choi Sung-eun has gained recognition through projects like The Sound of Magic, Beyond Evil, and SF8.
The production team stated, “Last Summer will go beyond the central romance, offering fresh appeal through the unique theme of architecture and rich storylines involving the supporting characters. We ask for the audience’s love and support.”
