On a recent episode of SBS’s Bae Sung-jae’s Ten, Park Ji-sung and his wife Kim Min-ji appeared as guests and opened up about their relationship. Host Bae Sung-jae noted that the pair were known as a couple who “barely ever fight.” Park Ji-sung replied, “There hasn’t really been a reason to fight,” while Kim Min-ji added, “We do have disagreements, but they don’t escalate into fights.”
Kim explained that they often differ even on small matters, like whether to wake up immediately or sleep a little longer. “We may have differences from the moment we open our eyes, but it doesn’t turn into an argument,” she said. She admitted she tends to get excited easily, raising her voice at times, but clarified that neither of them are the type to scream.
Park Ji-sung revealed that he usually senses when his wife is upset and avoids escalating the situation. “I rarely add words when I feel things could get heated,” he said, highlighting his strategy to prevent quarrels.
Kim Min-ji also noted how their differences balance out: “What bothers me usually doesn’t matter to him, and what bothers him doesn’t matter to me.”
However, she confessed there was one recent incident that actually angered Park Ji-sung. It revolved around bathroom etiquette. Kim shared that after watching a video about men’s bathroom habits, she suggested setting new rules for their son’s sake, so he could learn proper hygiene early.
Her husband, normally calm, reacted unusually strongly. “For the first time, I saw him get really serious. He insisted on using the bathroom alone and said not to tell him how to handle things, as if his dignity was being damaged,” Kim recalled.

She added with a laugh, “I never expected him to get that upset. His face looked like his dignity had been stripped away. Even after I told him to just continue as he liked, he was still fuming—his shoulders rising and falling as he tried to calm down.”
The humorous story gave fans a rare glimpse into the couple’s private life, showing that even the most seemingly peaceful marriages can have their unexpected moments of tension.
