On August 21, a short interview with Jun Ji-hyun was released on the YouTube channel “GQ Korea”.
In the interview, she talked about Disney+‘s original series Tempest, where she stars alongside Kang Dong-won. “While playing the role of Moon-joo, I felt a strong connection with the writer. It’s not a feeling I experience often, and it made me realize how deeply I was immersed in the character,” she shared.
Reflecting on her career and life, Jun Ji-hyun added, “I constantly think about what actress Jun Ji-hyun will be like as she grows older. At home, I also wonder, ‘How will my children grow up, and what careers will they choose in the future?’” She continued, “Ultimately, I find myself thinking more about doing well in the things I can do today.”
Tempest, premiering on September 10, follows Moon-joo (Jun Ji-hyun), a UN ambassador with international recognition, who investigates the truth behind an assassination attempt on a presidential candidate. Alongside her is San-ho (Kang Dong-won), an international special agent of mysterious nationality tasked with protecting her, as they uncover a conspiracy threatening the Korean Peninsula.
