According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund has accepted a move to the Serie A giants, with negotiations progressing toward an agreement. While United value him at around £30 million, Milan are pushing for a loan deal that would see them cover his full wages and include an option for a permanent transfer.
The move comes as Massimiliano Allegri leads a rebuild at AC Milan, identifying Hojlund as a key target to bolster the attack.
Hojlund is only two years into his five-year United contract, but the club decided earlier in 2025 to sell him if a new striker arrived. That decision materialized on August 9, when United unveiled Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig for £73.6 million. Hojlund was subsequently left out of the squad for the 1-1 draw against Fiorentina by manager Ruben Amorim.
Sources close to the 22-year-old say he is disappointed at being pushed out — especially after expressing a desire to stay just 12 days earlier — but the prospect of regular playing time ahead of the 2026 World Cup has shifted his stance.
Since arriving at Manchester United, Hojlund has made 95 appearances and scored 26 goals, including 10 last season (four in the Premier League). Despite flashes of potential, he has struggled to find consistent form, and competition from Sesko now appears to have ended his Old Trafford chapter.
