On August 6, singer Park Bom officially announced her withdrawal from upcoming 2NE1 activities due to health concerns. Her agency, D-Nation Entertainment, released a formal statement citing a doctor’s recommendation for “sufficient rest and stability.”
The announcement came through the company’s social media accounts and expressed regret over the decision, especially considering fans’ enthusiasm for the group’s reunion. The agency explained, “After extensive discussions, we made this difficult decision based on medical advice.”

They also added a hopeful note, “We ask for your warm encouragement as Park Bom recovers. Please continue to support Sandara Park, CL, and Gong Minzy, who will do their best to fill the gap.”
Regarding whether this affects all 2NE1 group activities, the agency clarified: “This decision only applies to currently scheduled activities. Nothing has been decided yet about future full-group promotions. For now, our top priority is the artist’s recovery. Details about her potential return to activities will be shared separately once she recovers and discussions with YG have taken place.”
Recently, Park Bom has been at the center of public scrutiny, facing ongoing speculation about self-dating rumors, altered visuals due to app use, and yo-yo dieting—issues that have fueled continuous online debates.
Despite her hiatus, 2NE1 is set to perform without her at the upcoming Waterbomb Bali 2025 festival in September, marking their first international group activity in years.
Park Bom’s fans have already begun flooding social media with well-wishes and messages of support, hoping for her full recovery and eventual return to the stage.
