Rookie girl group MADEIN (메이딘 · メイディン) will introduce its first all-Japanese sub-unit, MADEIN S, marking a significant step in the group’s global ambitions. The unit—comprising members Mashiro, MiU, Serina, and Nagomi—is set to debut in South Korea this August, making it MADEIN‘s first group activity in approximately six months since the release of their single “MADEIN Forever” in February 2025.
The new unit will also begin promotional activities in Japan and other countries following their Korean debut. Notably, MADEIN S is scheduled to appear at the major fashion event Kansai Collection 2025 Autumn/Winter, held on August 6th at Kyocera Dome Osaka. Members Mashiro and MiU will walk the runway, showcasing their versatility beyond music.
About MADEIN
MADEIN (메이딘 / stylized MΛDEIN) is a multinational girl group under 143 Entertainment, officially debuting on September 3, 2024, with the mini-album “Rise” and title track “UNO”. The group originally consisted of seven members, but currently promotes with six after Gaeun departed in November 2024 for personal reasons.

The current lineup includes:
- Mashiro (坂本舞白): Former Kep1er member, leader of MADEIN S, known for her poised charisma and stage presence.
- MiU (伊藤美優): Former Girls Planet 999 contestant, visual and vocalist, admired for her dreamy aesthetics.
- Serina and Nagomi: Former contestants of Produce 101 Japan The Girls, now fully integrated into MADEIN‘s international appeal.
- Yeseo: Also an ex-member of Kep1er, brings strong performance and vocal capabilities.
- Suhye: Known for her solid vocals and growing fanbase.
On February 14, 2025, MADEIN released their single album “MADEIN Forever”, featuring two tracks: “Saturn” and “Love, Afraid” (사랑, 두려움). This was their first release as a six-member group and showcased a deeper, more emotional side of the members.
Scandal
In late 2024, former MADEIN member Gaeun became embroiled in a serious scandal after reports surfaced alleging she was sexually harassed by 143 Entertainment’s CEO, Lee Yong Hak. Though her departure from the group was initially attributed to personal reasons, a handwritten apology from the CEO and Gaeun’s press conference in April 2025 confirmed the allegations. The incident, involving unwanted physical contact while Gaeun was still a minor, has sparked intense public backlash and legal proceedings, shedding light on deeper issues within the K-pop industry.
