Mukbang YouTuber Tzuyang made a bold return to TV on the July 30 episode of MBC’s Radio Star, where she opened up about her impressive earnings — and jaw-dropping food expenses.

Although she was originally scheduled to appear on the show in 2023, Tzuyang temporarily halted her activities due to a blackmail scandal involving YouTuber Karakyura. “I’m so sorry I couldn’t appear back then,” she said, “but I’m really grateful to be back a year later. Today’s guest lineup also made me feel comfortable and excited.”

Despite running her mukbang channel for eight years, Tzuyang’s appetite is as strong as ever. “I wondered if I’d slow down with age, but I’m still going strong,” she laughed. Recently, she launched a vlog channel and showed herself eating nearly nonstop for 24 hours.

“I can eat for over six hours in one sitting,” she revealed. “I shop for groceries every three days, but I try to hold back out of concern for the delivery drivers.”

When asked about her annual food costs, she didn’t hold back:

“Just on one delivery app, I spent ₩43 million KRW last year. And I use three apps.”

Even fellow panelists were stunned when she added:

“One meal recently cost me ₩3 million KRW.” To which host Kim Gook Jin replied in shock: “That’s my entire year’s food budget!”

The mukbang star also opened up about her peak YouTube income, confessing:

“Early on, I made over ₩100 million KRW (about $72,000) per month from YouTube alone.”

However, she emphasized that high revenue doesn’t always mean high profit. “Ad rates vary by country, and production costs are higher than people think — especially when running a restaurant like I do,” she said.

Tzuyang’s rare transparency — about both the rewards and realities of being a top-tier creator — resonated with viewers. As one of the most popular food YouTubers in Korea, she remains a fascinating figure in the online entertainment world.
