On July 28, actress Park So-dam, best known for her role in Bong Joon-ho’s Parasite, surprised fans by posting a series of photos on social media with a playful caption: “Because it’s hot.”
Clad in a sleek black dress and sporting a simple ponytail, Park radiated casual elegance. Another photo showed her in glasses, channeling a chic, intellectual aura that starkly contrasts with her previous image. Her refreshed appearance immediately drew praise online, with comments like,
- “She looks like a totally different person,”
- “There’s a glow to her now,” and
- “She seems so liberated and even more beautiful.”

This makeover comes shortly after Artist Company, the powerhouse agency co-founded by Lee Jung-jae and Jung Woo-sung, announced the conclusion of their exclusive contract with the actress. In a statement released on July 22, the agency said, “After careful discussions, we’ve decided to conclude our exclusive contract with Park So-dam. We sincerely thank her for the past eight years together and will continue to support her future endeavors.”
Park So-dam joined Artist Company in 2017 and rose to global fame with her breakout role in the Academy Award-winning Parasite. Since then, she has built a diverse filmography across dramas, films, and variety shows, becoming one of Korea’s most versatile and beloved talents.

Now embracing her next chapter, Park is set to star in the upcoming crime film The Journey to Gyeongju, heightening anticipation for what her career will look like post-agency. Fans are eager to see whether this new look marks the beginning of a bold new era for the actress.
