On July 23, an anonymous X (formerly Twitter) account named “KuchiSeiyuGamer” posted startling claims that 21-year-old Amane Shindō had been involved in affairs with multiple married men. The post included a photo allegedly showing Shindō’s bedroom, along with screenshots of private messages containing intimate phrases such as “I want to hold you tightly” and “I want to kiss you until you melt.”
Adding fuel to the fire, the accuser also shared an “investigative document” that reportedly cost them 220,000 yen (approximately USD $1,400) to obtain. The posts quickly went viral, stirring intense reactions among fans of BanG Dream! and anime enthusiasts alike.
While some fans harshly criticized Shindō, citing the damage to her “idol-like” image as a voice actress, others urged caution, pointing out that the allegations were unverified and potentially invasive.
Bushiroad, the entertainment company managing Shindō, responded on July 25 with a firm denial of all allegations. “After reviewing the matter with Amane Shindō and relevant parties, we confirm that the circulating information is completely false and baseless,” the company stated. They emphasized the harm these rumors have caused to Shindō’s reputation and well-being, including threats and online harassment.
Bushiroad strongly condemned the breach of privacy, declaring the situation “beyond acceptable limits” and confirmed they are working with legal teams and authorities to investigate and respond appropriately.
On July 26, the anonymous account further claimed that Shindō had requested legal action against her ex-boyfriend, accusing him of leaking sensitive content, including the now-infamous bedroom photo.
Amane Shindō, born April 20, 2004, is one of the youngest and most promising talents in the BanG Dream! franchise. She is best known for voicing Mashiro Kurata, the lead vocalist of the in-universe band Morfonica in BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!. Shindō began her career in 2019 with HiBiKi Cast, a voice acting agency under Bushiroad Move, and debuted as Carol in Bermuda Triangle: Colorful Pastrale.
