On July 25, a representative from Antenna, actress Lee Mi-joo’s agency, addressed the issue in a statement to Xports News, saying, “The dating rumors between Lee Mi-joo and Lee Jin-young are groundless. They have never even met each other.”
The rumors surfaced rapidly across online communities and social media after fans noticed similarities in interior design elements between Mi-joo’s home, revealed in a recent YouTube video, and a photo Lee Jin-young posted on his social media. Items such as curtains, a round table, and pendant lighting in Mi-joo’s video appeared to resemble those seen in Jin-young’s birthday post.
Adding to the speculation, it was highlighted that Mi-joo is a longtime fan of the Hanwha Eagles. During a 2018 appearance on JTBC’s Knowing Bros, she shared, “I became a fan of the Hanwha Eagles after throwing the first pitch and getting into baseball.” Her recent YouTube content also showed her checking Hanwha games, further fueling fan theories.
This is not the first time Mi-joo’s love life has drawn attention. She previously confirmed her relationship with footballer Song Bum-keun in April 2023 but announced their breakup after nine months earlier this year.
Despite the whirlwind of online speculation, Antenna’s prompt clarification has put an end to the dating rumors—for now.
