On the July 8 episode of Mnet’s “World of Street Woman Fighter” (WSWF), Monika appeared during the Global Artist Performance Mission, rejoining the competition as part of the BUMSUP crew.
Previously, Monika had stepped back from the stage during her pregnancy, with fellow PROWDMON dancer Lip J temporarily taking her place. Now, less than 3 months after giving birth, Monika has returned, this time even stronger and more driven.
As she walked onstage, she was greeted with applause and cheers from her fellow dancers, including “Street Woman Fighter” (SWF) veterans Aiki, Honey J, and Leejung.
*It’s like seeing her back in SWF again,” said Honey J, admiring Monika’s unchanged youthful appearance. Meanwhile, Aiki, who is a mother herself, expressed heartfelt respect by saying, “You can’t do this without real willpower. It’s unbelievably hard”.
Additionally, Monika herself admitted the challenge, stating, “It’s my return after 74 days. I may not be perfect yet, but I’m going for it.” However, hearing this, Leejung was quick to shut down any talk of weakness, saying, “There’s nothing lacking. Not one bit.”
Her return is being hailed not only as a personal achievement, but also a bold statement of strength, motherhood, and passion in the competitive world of street dance.
