According to a report by Ten Asia on June 16, Park Jin Young a fixed judge on the latest season of World Street Woman Fighter (WSWF) will not appear in episodes 4 and 5, which air on June 17 and 24. His absence is due to prior schedule conflicts related to the K-pop mission and elimination battles.
While judges Mike Song and Aaliyah Janell will continue, they’ll be joined by special guest judges BabySleek and Baek Gu-young during J.Y. Park’s temporary leave.
BabySleek, who garnered attention during Street Woman Fighter 2 in 2023 as part of the Wolf’Lo crew, is a seasoned figure in the dance world. At 42, she boasts nearly three decades of experience and is a respected dance professor known for her deep performance insights.

Baek Gu-young also brings an impressive background. As the leader of 1MILLION in Street Man Fighter (2022), he showcased powerful performances and standout charisma. He has established himself as a choreographer with a unique voice and is credited with discovering trainee Han Yu-jin, who appeared in Boys Planet. Baek will also appear as a master in the upcoming Boys 2 Planet.

Addressing the situation, a show representative clarified, “This has nothing to do with J.Y. Park stepping down from the show permanently. He had prior obligations that conflicted with the K-pop mission and elimination rounds. He will return starting from episode 6.”
Another insider added, “There were viewer concerns regarding the clarity of judging criteria and re-challenge decisions. With BabySleek and Baek Gu-young stepping in both veterans of the ‘Street Fighter’ franchise—the judging is expected to gain fresh, experience-based depth.”

With J.Y. Park temporarily stepping away due to scheduling conflicts, World Street Woman Fighter is turning to respected dance veterans to maintain the show’s credibility and excitement. As BabySleek and Baek Gu-young bring their expertise to the judging panel, viewers can expect heightened intensity and well-grounded evaluations until J.Y. Park returns in episode 6.
