The primary reason for the anime’s indefinite hiatus is the health issues of creator Yoshihiro Togashi, which have significantly slowed the manga’s progress. While new manga chapters occasionally get released after long gaps, it is unclear when, or if, the series will ever be fully completed. “No Game No Life” – A Promising Start That Never Got a Second Season
When “No Game No Life” premiered in 2014, it quickly captured the hearts of fans with its unique blend of strategy, games, and comedy. The story follows Sora and Shiro, two genius siblings who get transported to a world where everything is decided through games. Despite its success, a second season never materialized. While a prequel film, “No Game No Life: Zero,” was released in 2017, it did not continue the story of the original series. The reason behind the lack of a second season remains unclear. “Highschool of the Dead” – A Zombie Apocalypse Without a Conclusion
Combining intense zombie action, thrilling survival sequences, and over-the-top fanservice, “Highschool of the Dead” had everything it needed to become an anime classic. However, after just one season in 2010, the series was left without a conclusion.
The reason for this abrupt halt was the unfortunate passing of the manga’s creator, Daisuke Satou, in 2017. Out of respect for his work, no one has attempted to continue the story. This means that the anime and manga will likely never be finished, leaving fans to wonder about what could have been. The zombie apocalypse of “Highschool of the Dead” may have come to an end, not through a dramatic finale, but through real-world circumstances.
“Re:Creators” – A Universe of Infinite Possibilities That Ended Too Soon
With its intriguing premise of fictional characters manifesting in the real world, “Re:Creators”had the potential to be an unforgettable anime.
