On January 11, rapper Swings shared a video of himself taking acting lessons at an acting academy. In the video, he performed a scene from the movie “Burning” (2018), directed by Lee Chang-dong.

The day before, on January 10, he posted, “I actually started attending an acting academy a month ago, and lately, I’ve been doing this every day. It’s so much fun,” and added, “I’ll post occasionally. I’d appreciate it if you could watch from time to time. (Here’s a teaser for today).”
In the video, Swings is seen seriously analyzing a scene from “Burning” and sharing his thoughts on it. He then re-uploaded the post titled, “Swings enrolled in acting school after missing out on ‘Squid Game 2’ casting” and clarified, “I’m really grateful, but I actually started acting a month ago. Anyway, it’s not that urgent.”

Recently, “Squid Game 2” director Hwang Dong-hyuk mentioned that he had considered casting rapper Swings for the role of Thanos, but ultimately decided against it, citing concerns about his acting ability.
This led some netizens to speculate that Swings’ enrollment in acting school was somehow connected to the casting for “Squid Game 2.“
After watching Swings’ acting practice, netizens responded with comments such as “The actor’s mindset is cool,” “He can do anything,” “Let’s go to Hollywood,” and “We’re rooting for you.”
