Summary
“The First Night With the Duke” follows Cha Seon-chaek (played by Seohyun), a minor background character in a novel, whose life takes a dramatic turn when her body is possessed by the spirit of a modern-day college student. She inadvertently spends a night with the obsessive male lead Gyeongseong-gun (played by Ok Taecyeon).

“The First Night With the Duke” has come under scrutiny following allegations of damage to Byeongsan Seowon, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, during filming.
On January 2, a netizen reported witnessing the alleged damage on December 30, 2024, sharing several photos as evidence. The images show staff members hammering nails and installing props, such as lanterns, within the site.
Regarding this, KBS stated that they are “currently investigating the matter” but have not provided a clear stance.
