Shortly after, an entertainment blogger revealed intriguing details about this highly publicized divorce.
According to the blogger, while the couple claimed to have parted on amicable terms, their marriage did not end smoothly. The rift in their relationship reportedly began after both Zhao Wei and Huang Youlong were implicated in a scandal involving fraud, misinformation, and stock market manipulation in China in 2017. At the time, the couple had intense conflicts. Zhao Wei was so frustrated that she moved to France with their daughter to avoid seeing her husband.

However, Huang Youlong initially refused to agree, clinging to the marriage because he believed only Zhao Wei, as a top celebrity, could help him repay his mounting debts. According to the blogger, Zhao Wei became so disillusioned that she publicly hinted at their broken marriage by deleting all photos of her husband from her social media accounts and allowing paparazzi to capture her dating another man who is the heir of a wealthy family.

It wasn’t until 2021 that Huang Youlong finally agreed to let Zhao Wei go, after she was blacklisted and banned from entertainment activities in China. To secure a smooth and quick divorce, Zhao Wei reportedly had to provide Huang Youlong’s son and her stepson, Huang Yiming, with a luxury apartment in Hong Kong. Additionally, Zhao Wei had to sign an agreement allowing Huang Yiming to participate in business activities and become the representative of a winery in France, a joint marital asset of Zhao Wei and Huang Youlong.
