On the 6th, the ‘2024 2NE1 Concert ‘Welcome Back’ in Seoul’ took place at the Olympic Hall in Seoul’s Songpa Olympic Park.
The concert attracted significant attention as current and former YG Entertainment family members gathered to celebrate 2NE1’s first concert in 10 years. Among the attendees were YG’s chief producer Yang Hyun-suk, BIGBANG’s G-Dragon and Daesung, Se7en, Gummy, WINNER’s Song Mino, Kim Jinwoo, and Lee Seunghoon, iKON’s Donghyuk, BLACKPINK’s Jennie, and BABYMONSTER.
What caught even more attention was the presence of G-Dragon and Jennie at the concert.
On this day, G-Dragon was seen wearing a leather jacket and orange sunglasses, seated next to producer Yang Hyun-suk enjoying the performance. Jennie, on the other hand, wore a checkered mini skirt, an oversized shirt, and a cap with the 2NE1 logo, sitting with a light stick alongside her close friend, actress Yang Hyeji.
While G-Dragon was part of a group photo with YG family members, Jennie was notably absent from the picture.
Jennie later took a photo with the 2NE1 members, but G-Dragon was noticeably absent from the picture. Netizens speculated that the two deliberately avoided each other following their rumored breakup.
The two were rumored to be dating back in 2021 when a media outlet reported that they had been in a relationship for a year. However, both neither confirmed nor denied the rumor, with their company stating, “It is difficult for the company to verify the artists’ private lives.”
Although they continued to be active under the same agency, this was the first time they had been spotted together in public. G-Dragon has since signed with a new agency, while Jennie is currently focusing on her activities under her personal label.
