As Netflix’s popular show “Culinary Class Wars” gains attention, the whereabouts of “chef-tainers” (chef entertainers) are also being highlighted.
On September 28, voice actress Seo Yuri shared a conversation with webtoon artist-TV personality Kim Poong, sparking interest.
In the exchange, Seo Yuri said, “I was watching ‘Culinary Class Wars’ and felt sad because you didn’t appear.” To this, Kim Poong replied, “I was contacted, but I declined because I lost interest in cooking.“
Kim Poong is known for his webtoons “The World of Trash” and “History of Losers”. He previously appeared on JTBC’s “Please Take Care of My Refrigerator”, showcasing cooking skills that rivaled professional chefs.
Meanwhile, chefs Choi Hyun-seok, Oh Se-deuk and Park Joon-woo, who also appeared on “Please Take Care of My Refrigerator”, are currently featured on “Culinary Class Wars” as “white spoon” chefs.
Star chef Raymon Kim also made waves when he mentioned “Culinary Class Wars”.
On September 28, he shared a story on social media about making pasta with his daughter Lua. A netizen commented on the post, “I’ve been enjoying ‘Culinary Class Wars’ lately. Are you watching it too, Chef Raymon?” He responded “Yes, I consulted for the show“, revealing his participation behind the scenes.
The show gained massive popularity, recording a total of 3.8 million views (calculated by dividing total watch time by the running time of the series) in its first week of release and topping Netflix’s global TOP 10 TV (non-English) category.
What if those two had joined the show? How different would it have been?
