Recently, a post was published on the Korean forum Pann Nate about the “evidence” of an alleged relationship between aespa’s Winter and RIIZE’s Sungchan,
According to this post, both Winter and Sungchan use sparkly in-ears, with the former in red and the latter in blue. In addition, back on August 9, Winter mentioned apples on the fan communication platform Bubble, while Sungchan and Anton started a live broadcast mentioning apples on the next day.
Even the profile picture of Winter was listed among the “evidence”, as Winter uses an image of Disney character Bambi, while Sungchan often gets compared to Bambi due to having deer-like features.
Finally, the author of the topic listed out several other “evidence”, including:
- Winter and Sungchan having both mentioned Switzerland as a destination they want to visit
- Winter and Sungchan use a similar typing style with the “ㅏㅏ” slang
- Sungchan being a huge fan of hamburgers and Winter’s AirPods being named “french fries” => couple term “hamburgers and fries”
Looking at this topic, however, most netizens only feel skeptical, with many finding the “evidence” to be too far-fetched.

First, Winter asked fans on Bubble to pick the cartoon character for her profile picture, and her Bambi image matches with her childhood friend’s rabbit one. Additionally, Winter has mentioned so many fruits that apples don’t even matter anymore. ‘ㅏㅏ’ is used by many celebrities, not just aespa or RIIZE. Winter’s been using it since debut. Also, Winter said she liked fries since debut, and although she’s not into hamburgers, she said she only orders the set for the fries. Winter mentioned Switzerland in February 2023 and Sungchan in February 2024, making it a whole year between the two’s statements. Winter has also mentioned wanting to go to Okinawa, Australia, and Thailand, among many other places. There’s no connection, so can’t you stop making these ridiculous speculations?
