BTS is The Most Beloved K-Pop Boy Groups of the 21st Century

BTS has been named the most beloved boy group of the 21st century.

According to an online survey conducted by Korean Gallup, commissioned by Star News from August 19 to August 23, involving 1,052 men and women aged 19 to 69, BTS received 74% of the votes in the category of “Most Loved K-Pop Boy Group (based on debut in the 21st century).” 

BTS began their global ascent by topping the Billboard charts and, in 2021, became the first Asian artists to win the coveted “Artist of the Year” award at the American Music Awards, further proving their worldwide popularity.

Following BTS, Big Bang secured second place with 33% of the votes. Debuting in the K-pop scene in 2006, Big Bang is recognized as a symbol of the second generation of idols, leading the K-pop wave globally alongside Girls’ Generation (SNSD).

In third place is Super Junior, which garnered 15% of the votes. Following them are TVXQ (14%) in fourth, EXO (13%) in fifth, Seventeen (8%) in sixth, SHINee (7%) in seventh, 2PM (5%) in eighth, NCT (4%) in ninth, and Wanna One (4%) in tenth.
