Han So-hee is known for her candid style, often expressing her thoughts without hesitation. She notably garnered significant attention when she actively addressed the controversy surrounding her relationship with Ryu Jun-yeol, which was rumored to involve dating overlap. However, her straightforward remarks seem to have adversely affected her public image, with some considering her statements to be overly blunt or sensitive at times.

In second place was Sakura, who received 1,353 votes (10%). After debuting in Japan, Sakura gained popularity as a member of the Korean girl group IZ*ONE and is currently a member of LE SSERAFIM. Earlier this year, she made an outspoken comment after receiving harsh criticism for her unstable live performance at Coachella.

At the time, Sakura stated, “I learned a lot from preparing for Coachella until the day of the performance. What does it mean to stand on stage? Is it about entertaining the audience, or flawlessly executing the performance without any mistakes? The standards differ for each person and depend on the type of stage.” She continued, “Some might see it as lacking, but no one is perfect, and the fact that it was the best performance we’ve shown remains unshaken.” However, this remark sparked backlash, with some criticizing it as a form of Japanese-style “victory in spirit.”

In third place was Kim Yoon-ah, the vocalist of the band Jaurim, who had previously strongly criticized the release of Fukushima’s contaminated water through social media. Her comments also drew criticism from political circles.

At the time, Kim Yoon-ah expressed her concern about the ocean discharge of radioactive water from Japan’s Fukushima nuclear power plant, saying, “For days, I have been overwhelmed with anger. The dystopian reality depicted in movies like Blade Runner + 4 Years is beginning to come true. A landscape of LA from the film, where it doesn’t stop raining radioactive rain and no light shines through. On a day like this, I think about hell.” She also uploaded a photo with the caption “RIP Earth.”

In response, Kim Yoon-ah’s agency, Interpark Entertainment, clarified, “Regarding the SNS post by our artist Kim Yoon-ah that has become an issue, we want to make it clear that it was not an expression of a political stance, but rather a reflection of her concerns and regrets about environmental pollution.”

Other stars mentioned in the poll included actor Jung Woo-sung, Super Junior member Kim Hee-chul, and former Secret member Jeon Hyo-sung.

The poll results for “stars who seem to have damaged their image due to outspoken remarks” were provided by DC Inside.
