Previously on August 29, Rolling Stone Mexico dropped their exclusive interview with BLACKPINK’s Lisa, which included various interesting information about the world-famous idol.

In particular, Lisa mentioned how “Rock Star” was created, saying, “I wanted to find a great sound, create visuals or choreography that was iconic, that’s what I was going for” and added, “I wanted to find a catchy beat, something that would be easy for people to remember, that would identify it as a LISA song”.

Lisa also revealed the pride and joy she felt while filming in her home nation – Thailand.

“I was really happy to have the opportunity to film in my country,” she reflected, adding, “I am proud to be Thai, so if I have the opportunity I want to show it to people more”.

When discussing her collaboration with Rosalía in her new single, “New Woman”, Lisa shared, “I’ve always been a huge fan of Rosalía. I love her performances, her style, I love it. She had this amazing track and I thought I’d love for her to join. I reached out to her and luckily she agreed right away. The process was very easy because we were both excited and wanted to do something big and iconic.”

Finally, when asked if she feels pressure from her success, Lisa answered, “I would be lying if I said I don’t feel pressure or stress, of course I feel a lot of pressure, but I want to stay positive. I think the people around you are very important, you have to surround yourself with good people who keep you grounded. I don’t want to be stuck in one moment for too long, I want to keep moving and keep a positive vibe always.”

Finally, Lisa opens up about her goals to make music signature of herself, stating, “I want to find a sound that has a personality, so that when you hear a song you know it’s LISA’s, I want to find that personal and easily recognizable style of my project.”

““What excites me most about my new era as an artist is making my own decisions, being in control of things. It’s stressful, but very exciting and fun”, the BLACKPINK member and renowned soloist concluded.
