Former FIFTY FIFTY Members File 300 Million Won Settlement Lawsuit, Netizens “They Have No Shame”

The news broke on August 27th that Sio, Saena and Aran filed a lawsuit against ATTRAKT’s CEO Jeon Hong-joon, seeking a settlement payment of 300 million won.

This lawsuit is seen as a counterclaim to the 13 billion won damages lawsuit that ATTRAKT filed last year against the three former members, their parents, The Givers’ CEO Ahn Sung-il and others. The former members recently submitted a complaint to the Seoul Central District Court, demanding a settlement payment of 301 million won.

Coincidentally, the first hearing of ATTRAKT’s 13 billion won damages lawsuit is scheduled for August 29th. Additionally, the 2nd generation of FIFTY FIFTY, consisting of original member Keena and new members Chanelle Moon, Yewon, Hana and Athena, has announced a new start.

Moreover, Sio, Saena and Aran recently signed new exclusive contracts with MASSIVE E&C, a subsidiary of IOK Company, and announced plans to begin their activities in the second half of the year. This has led to speculation that the conflict between the two sides is intensifying.

The trio previously raised issues regarding settlements, which formed the basis for their application for an injunction to suspend the validity of their exclusive contracts with ATTRAKT. However, the court ruled in favor of ATTRAKT, and the application for an injunction by the three members, except for Keena who returned to ATTRAKT, was ultimately dismissed.

Afterward, Keena received her first settlement payment from ATTRAKT and made a positive impact by donating 10 million won to support young adults preparing for independence. Keena expressed her thoughts, “I’m thankful to everyone who gave me the opportunity to help in a meaningful way. I hope the youth facing a harsh world never give up on their dreams and continue to challenge themselves.”

Regarding the former members’ action, netizens have reacted negatively, saying, “Shouldn’t they address the damages first before talking about settlements?“, “They have no shame“, “How brazen“, “Are they asking to deduct it from the damages?“, “Their greed is too much” and “Were they jealous of Keena receiving her settlement?
