aespa Makes First Appearance on Popular Japanese YouTube Channel

On the 12th, aespa released a one-take live performance video of “Supernova” through the Japanese YouTube channel ‘THE FIRST TAKE’, showcasing their high-quality vocal skills and perfect harmony, which garnered much attention. Following this, on the 26th at 10 PM, they further ignited a massive response by releasing their Japanese debut track “Hot Mess”.

‘THE FIRST TAKE’, which boasts the most subscribers in the music genre among Japanese YouTube channels, is known for showcasing artists’ real, one-take performances. The previously released “Supernova” video recorded 5 million views in just one week and ranked high on the trending charts, receiving immense love from global music fans.

aespa successfully made their official Japanese debut on July 3rd with “Hot Mess”. They attracted a total of 100,000 audience members with nine sold-out arena tour performances across four cities—Fukuoka, Nagoya, Saitama, and Osaka. Additionally, their Tokyo Dome performance, held as a special edition, quickly sold out upon opening, even leading to the release of restricted-view seats. Over two days, they drew in about 94,000 fans, reflecting their immense popularity in the region.

Meanwhile, aespa is currently on their second world tour and will hold their first Australian concerts with the ‘2024 aespa LIVE TOUR – SYNK : PARALLEL LINE -‘ in Sydney on the 30th and 31st, and in Melbourne on September 2nd.
