At her fan meeting in Taiwan on August 24th, Kim Hye-yoon was taken aback with a surprised laugh while watching a video of congratulatory messages from fellow celebrities.
Kim Hye-yoon, who has risen as the “new Hallyu goddess” with tvN’s “Lovely Runner” in the first half of 2024, is continuing her Asian fan meeting tour. At the Taiwan fan meeting, Byun Woo-seok , the male lead of “Lovely Runner”, made a surprise appearance.
The two have previously shown a sweet chemistry in a variety show they appeared together, garnering enthusiastic support from drama fans.
During the event, Byun Woo-seok said, “Hello, I’m actor Byun Woo-seok. I came here to greet you as I heard that Hye-yoon is having a fan meeting. I know many fans have been waiting for it, and I sincerely support the meeting between Hye-yoon and her fans. Congratulations, and I hope you all enjoy it. Thank you!”
Kim Hye-yoon was completely surprised and unable to hide her laughter when Byun Woo-seok made an unexpected appearance in a video message. She looked flustered, fidgeting and struggling to keep her smile under control. At one point, she even playfully tried to sneak a peek at the local host’s cue sheet. Not only was Kim Hye-yoon shocked, but the fans in attendance also cheered loudly for Byun Woo-seok’s surprise appearance and warmly supported Kim Hye-yoon’s reaction.
After watching Byun Woo-seok’s video, Kim Hye-yoon shyly responded, “Thank you so much, Woo-seok oppa, for doing this for me. As you said, I will try to enjoy this time with the fans. I’m very, very grateful… Yes, that’s it,” she said with a bashful smile.
She also mentioned about the surprise video, “I really didn’t know. It was so unexpected that I was quite flustered; I hope you understand.”
Before Byun Woo-seok, Jung Hae-in, Kim’s co-star in “Snowdrop”, also appeared to personally congratulate Kim Hye-yoon’s fan meeting. Jung Hae-in said, “I heard many fans have been waiting for Hye-yoon, so I hope today is a time filled with happiness. Please continue to love and support our Princess Mamell Hye-yoon. Hye-yoon fighting!”
Previously, at her recent fan meeting in Osaka, Japan, Kim Hye-yoon also received video messages of support from her agency’s artist, Yum Jung-ah, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo from JTBC’s “Snowdrop”, and Rowoon, her close friend and co-starr in MBC’s “Extraordinary You”.
Meanwhile, Kim Hye-yoon has successfully wrapped up “Lovely Runner” and is concluding her Asian tour. Her agency has revealed that they are currently reviewing a proposal for her next project, “I’m Human From Today”.
