On August 21, Cosmopolitan Korea’s official channel released an interview video titled “Karina’s Summer Preferences from A to Z.”
In the video, Karina was asked to recommend her favorite summer foods and replied, “I love eating. I’d recommend kongguksu (cold noodle soup with soybean paste), don-naengmyeon (a combination of pork cutlet and cold noodles), yogurt ice cream, and bingsu (shaved ice).” When asked about her favorite food, she said, “I’d go with cold soba.”
Regarding her personal tips for beating the heat, Karina explained, “There are two main things. I get too hot if I wear my hair down, so I keep it tied up and wear sleeveless tops frequently.”
When asked about her dream summer vacation spots, she mentioned, “In Korea, I’d go to Jeju Island. I’ve only been there once since I was born. For overseas travel, I’d like to visit Hawaii or the Bahamas.” She added, “Rather than a specific location, I always prefer to go to the beach for summer vacation. If you’re watching this and have summer vacation coming up, I recommend visiting a beach.”
Karina explained her preference for the sea by saying, “Mountains are tough. Although it’s true that there’s a reward after hard work, I can’t endure muscle pain. I’d prefer to relax at the beach.”
She also shared her favorite summer casual styling, stating, “Those who know me well would agree that I like wearing sleeveless tops, wide pants, chunky shoes, and shirts or outerwear. There aren’t many places to dress up for, so I prefer comfort. But since it can be cold indoors, I always bring outerwear.”
Karina also mentioned her preference for summer nights over days, saying, “I wanted to seem like I was debating it, but I really dislike the heat. I can’t be outside during the hot summer days. Nights are better for me.”
