Netflix Cancel Prize Payment to ‘The Influencer’ Winner After He Spoiled His Win

A Netflix official told JTBC Entertainment News Team on August 21st, “Keeping the relevant information confidential before the release of the show is an important device for everyone who participated in the creation to bear fruit and deliver the intended fun to the viewers. This is also a promise between all the producers and cast members who want the work to succeed,” adding, “As a result, no prize money was paid to the winner of “The Influencer,” who abandoned his obligation to keep confidentiality in the contract, which was to maintain the reliability of the program and fairness between the cast members.”

“The Influencer” was affected as Oking’s winning was spoiled even before its public schedule was confirmed.

The Influencer

As Oking was involved in the Winnerz Coin scam scandal, former CEO of Winnerz Choi Seung-jung shared, “There is a reason why Oking keeps attacking Winnerz. He appeared on Netflix’s “The Influencer” and finished recording,” revealing that Oking spoiled his victory to his acquaintances.

Since Oking violated its confidentiality obligations, a penalty may be incurred. However, Netflix took a cautious position on this, saying, “It is difficult to reveal the penalty part at present.”
