The story of a male idol and a fellow group member liking the same girl but having to break up due to a dating ban is drawing attention.
Recently, a story about a male idol having to break up with his ex-girlfriend and his fellow member liking the same girl is making rounds on Korean forums.
This story originated from a YouTuber who often reads stories sent in by subscribers. He recently mentioned that a girl (hereinafter referred to as ‘A’ told him about her having used to date a male idol (hereinafter referred to as ‘S’), but had to break up due to the company’s intervention.
According to A, she continued to be close friends with S and he even invited her to the group’s concert. Here, another group member expressed his feelings to A, but A declined due to her still having feelings for S. As S learned about this, A asked for him to start a romantic relationship with her again, but S rejected her, saying that the company is supervising him closely.
The aforementioned YouTuber even claimed that he has received dating photos of A and S as evidence, leading to immense discussion over the identity of S.
So far, many Korean fans of ENHYPEN are suspecting that S may be Sunghoon, due to the male idol starting to express interest in romance from around a year ago.
However, many other fans insist that making speculations are going too far, and there’s no evidence that the story is even real. Some also claimed that the original post accusing Sunghoon of being S originated from an “akgae” (solo fan of another member who dislike the rest of the group), and so they may be spreading misinformation on purpose.
