According to a report by Chosun Ilbo on August 19th, the Seoul Mapo Police Station booked rapper San E (real name Jung San) on charges of special assault on August 17th.
San E is accused of assaulting a pedestrian, A, at a park in Mapo-gu on the evening of July 28th. It is reported that San E told A to “walk your bicycle properly” then struck A’s face with a cell phone, causing injuries near A’s eyes and mouth.
Police were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report, conducted a preliminary investigation then sent both San E and the victim home. After later summoning San E for further questioning, the police determined there was enough evidence to book him and have now launched a formal investigation.
Meanwhile, San E debuted in 2010 and gained fame as a producer on “Show Me the Money”. He is also well-known for duet songs like “A Midsummer Night’s Sweetness” and “Story of Someone I Know”.
