In the preview video released at the end of the August 17th episode of KBS 2TV’s “New Release of Pen Restaurant” (hereafter “Pen Restaurant”), new chef Lee Sang-woo made an appearance.
Lee Sang-woo greeted viewers by saying, “I’m actor Lee Sang-woo, but I’m also a chef. Nice to meet you,” and then shared his newlywed home, which he and his wife had acquired after seven years of marriage. He briefly introduced the house, and Kim So-yeon expressed excitement by saying, “I can’t believe we’re introducing our home on ‘Pen Restaurant.’” Following this, Lee Sang-woo’s serious approach to cooking has raised expectations for the new chef’s performance.
The newlywed home of Lee Sang-woo and Kim So-yeon, which was revealed for the first time on the show, was modest. The spacious living room featured a sofa and a screen, and four mirrors were neatly arranged on the living room wall. Most notably, a table was placed by the living room window, offering a stunning view of the Han River that caught the eye.
Born in 1980, Lee Sang-woo and Kim So-yeon first met while acting together in the MBC weekend drama “Happy Home” in February 2016, which led to their relationship developing into a romance. At that time, they played the roles of Bong Hae-ryeong and Seo Ji-geon, showcasing their solid acting skills and eventually getting married within the drama, winning the viewers’ affection.
After the drama ended, in September of the same year, they officially acknowledged their relationship through their agencies. At that time, both sides stated, “The two developed good feelings for each other after finishing ‘Happy Home,’ and they are now in the stage of getting to know each other and growing their love.”
Having married in June 2017, Kim So-yeon and Lee Sang-woo have become a beloved couple known for their loving relationship and have been enjoying a sweet married life for eight years.
