Did LE SSERAFIM Copy aespa? Netizens Show a Strong Stance

On August 30, LE SSERAFIM will be making their highly-anticipated comeback with “Crazy”. So far, the girl group has been dropping trailers and track samplers, giving people a hint about their upcoming concept.

However, after LE SSERAFIM’s concept photos for “Crazy” was released on August 15, people started to compare those to aespa’s previous concept for “Spicy” and “Supernova”.

According to these people, LE SSERAFIM’s photos utilized the outfits of neon colors against a dark backdrop, showing a strong resemblance to aespa.

However, netizens seem to be on LE SSERAFIM’s side regarding this situation, with many pointing out that the same concept has been used by LE SSERAFIM way back during the girl group’s performance at the 2023 MAMA Awards.

Additionally, they mention that the similar elements are actually super common, calling it a “stretch” to call those copying and plagiarism.

Below are some comments from netizens:

  • They are not that similar… Their concepts have been different from the start
  • Stop using aespa to criticize LE SSERAFIM
  • Everything is being called plagiarism now, even the most basic of elements
  • The images are honestly not that similar, I was confused to see that there are plagiarism accusations. People are just throwing allegations around at this rate
  • This must be a targeted attack because I don’t see a connection at all
