“My Hero Academia” Unveils 6 New Projects to Celebrate Manga Finale

The manga for “My Hero Academia” recently dropped the final chapter, yet there are various other projects related to this franchise. In particular, while the anime continues to prepare for the grand finale with its 7th season and the recent release of the franchise’s 4th film, “My Hero Academia: You’re Next”, new major projects have been announced.

Although these projects do not include a direct sequel from creator Kohei Horikoshi, they will introduce new elements to celebrate the superhero Shonen series.

Without delving into spoilers, the final chapter of “My Hero Academia” concluded the story of Deku (Izuku Midoriya)  and the heroes of Class 1-A later in life. After the devastation caused by All For One and Shigaraki to Hero Society in the final battle, the world is now a very different place as UA Academy strives to build a new future. As Midoriya stated in the first chapter of the manga, the series has always been about showing how he and his allies would become the greatest heroes in the world.

After releasing Chapter 430, “My Hero Academia” announced the following projects that will be coming soon:

  • The final manga volume of “My Hero Academia,” Volume 42 – December 2024
  • The final fanbook of “My Hero Academia” – January 2025
  • “My Hero Academia” Art Book – April 2025
  • “My Hero Academia” manga exhibition – May 2025
  • Global popularity poll for “My Hero Academia” – Ongoing until September 30, 2024.
  • “My Hero Academia” Digital Manuscript Applicant Service

The current anime season of “My Hero Academia” is not the last, but it’s likely that the 8th season will serve as the epic conclusion to the anime adaptation if it continues to follow the original material. Since the animated works often feature new stories not found in the manga, many anime fans are wondering if there will be an additional movie after “My Hero Academia: You’re Next.”

With Horikoshi’s significant involvement in the previous four films, it’s possible the Shounen creator will imagine a new story set after the events of the manga’s finale.
