On August 12th, Netflix released a teaser video for “Squid Game 2” on their official website and social media (Instagram). The video shows actor Lee Jung-jae participating in ‘The Squid Game’ again as No.456, stimulating fans’ anticipation.
This teaser unveils each of the participants with the number on their uniforms one by one. No.124, No.380, No.390, No.388, No.007, No.044, No.125, No.222 and No.256 are the participants revealed in the video.
In the last scene, Lee Jung-jae, who vowed revenge at the end of “Squid Game”, appears wearing his uniform with No.456 and stares at the camera, heralding a new game in Season 2.
Director Hwang Dong-hyuk further stimulated fans’ curiosity by saying “Sung Ki-hoon (Lee Jung-jae) will return and participate in the game. Will he be able to take revenge?”.
The appearance of various numbers in the teaser also makes viewers wonder about their relation to the new characters in Season 2. In fact, “Squid Game 2” will feature many actors such as Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Wi Ha-joon, Yang Dong-geun, etc.
