GOT7’s BamBam shares the story behind his cryptic SNS post “The stress and pressure have been intense”

GOT7's BamBam recently shared the story behind his cryptic SNS post

On August 9th, the YouTube channel “ZIP DAESUNG” released a video featuring BamBam.

In the video, BamBam opened up by saying, “After leaving JYP, I was actually thinking of retiring. To be honest, I had been active for about 7 years. No matter how hard I worked, my hard work wasn’t recognized. I was thinking of living with my mom in Thailand.”

He continued, “I got a call from Abyss (his current agency). I rejected, but they constantly reached out. I always ask them, ‘Why do you want to work with me?’ Other companies wanted the same thing. ‘Ah, they want to enter the Southeast Asian market.’ So I rejected them all. But only Abyss told me, ‘You debuted in Korea, don’t you want to be recognized in Korea?’ Okay, let’s try one last time. I made up my mind.” BamBam explained that during a break, he got the opportunity to appear on “Transit Love 2”. He added, “I wondered, ‘Why would I appear on a dating show?’ But I went on and my life changed. I’m glad I didn’t retire.”

Reflecting on that time, BamBam said, “At that time, I kind of wanted to give up. I just said whatever. But I didn’t realize those words would resonate with people. You have to live life without thinking too much. Being too calculating doesn’t work.

In July, BamBam posted a message on his SNS that read, “I don’t want to wake up after falling asleep. That’s the only way I can rest.” The post, shared just before his August comeback, raised concerns among fans due to its ominous tone.

The post was later deleted. BamBam explained, “I’ve been pushing myself since last year, and there’s still a long way to go. The stress and pressure have been intense, and I’ve been unwell for a long time, which has made me sensitive and emotional. I’m going to keep giving my best this year and find time to rest. I’m sorry if I caused any worry.

Meanwhile, BamBam released his new album “BAMESIS” in August and is currently promoting it.
