IVE Praised at Lollapalooza USA: “One of the Most Memorable Performances”
MZ wannabe icons IVE are continuing the "Lollapalooza" syndrome as they took the stage at their first American festival.
On the 3rd (local time), IVE successfully completed their first festival performance at “Lollapalooza Chicago,” held in Grant Park, Chicago, Illinois. The performance drew significant attention from both domestic and global media.
On the 4th (local time), the American music magazine Rolling Stone praised IVE on their official website, saying, “IVE shook the stage with live arrangements,” and added, “They delivered jazzy and sophisticated arrangements with a live band, leaving a memorable impression with a very unique performance.” Additionally, IVE was included in this year’s “Lollapalooza Best Photos,” catching the eye of many.
The Chicago Sun-Times, a local media outlet, stated, “As a representative K-pop girl group, they played their role excellently, with well-organized choreography,” and added, “They performed with a full live band and backup dancers, exuding an alluring charm during their ‘ELEVEN’ stage.” The article continued, “IVE has achieved significant success in the K-pop genre over the past few years, and their 2023 release ‘I’ve IVE’ has been listed in various year-end best song lists, including Billboard and NME. Earlier, the famous American daily Chicago Tribune gave rave reviews of IVE’s North American tour, which is part of their recently held world tour, highlighting their global activities and proving their hot popularity as global stars.
IVE was the only K-pop girl group to perform at “Lollapalooza” in 2024, delivering a top-tier K-pop stage. On this day, IVE performed live for about 45 minutes with a live band, filling the stage with their bright energy, leading local fans and audiences to sing along, confirming their explosive popularity. Having successfully completed their performance, IVE has established themselves as a group that combines popularity, influence, and audience appeal both domestically and globally.
Meanwhile, IVE is currently on their first world tour, “IVE THE 1ST WORLD TOUR ‘SHOW WHAT I HAVE’,” with 37 shows in 27 cities across 19 countries. They will continue the encore heat on August 10-11 at the KSPO DOME (formerly Gymnastics Arena) in Korea. They are also adding to their global journey with additional performances, including Japan’s “SUMMER SONIC 2024” and encore concerts at the KSPO DOME and Tokyo Dome.
