BLACKPINK’s Lisa Shattered Plagiarism Accusations with “This” Move

A detail in BLACKPINK’s Lisa’s upcoming release, “New Woman” (ft. Rosalía), has shut down previous plagiarism accusations.

Recently, BLACKPINK’s Lisa dropped the teaser for her upcoming song, “New Woman”, which features pop star Rosalía, raising anticipation to sky-high.

Notably, it was revealed that Dave Meyer, the original creator of Kendrick Lamar’s “Humble” effect, directed the MV for this new song, effectively shutting down previous plagiarism accusations.

In particular, when the MV for Lisa’s single “ROCKSTAR” was released, the BLACKPINK member was accused of having copied a scene from Travis Scott’s “FE!N” MV by a videographer that worked on the latter.

At the time, the videographer insisted that Lisa’s side has contacted his team and mentioned the “FE!N” MV, only to later copy their effort.

However, as Lisa is now working with the original creator of the effect in the aforementioned scene, it seems that the plagiarism accusations have little ground.
