Instead, her two most recent Instagram Story posts were to celebrate the birthdays of two veteran staff members who have been with her for a long time. Many people believe that Jennie’s treatment of her staff is a way to prove that she doesn’t “abuse her power” as the online community has speculated amid the smoking controversy.

However, Jennie’s post sparked controversy among netizens. The peak of the controversy occurred when Jaemin – the Creative Director of ODDATELIER – received a “storm” of criticism from Jennie’s fans, accusing him of not focusing on his work and just “having fun” during business trips. The intense criticism even led him to limit comments on his personal Instagram account.

Because of this, when Jennie posted images with the Creative Director, netizens expressed their discontent and stated that they didn’t care about it. Some opinions on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) bluntly stated: “Why doesn’t she post these images on her private account? We really don’t care about that.”
