Lisa’s ‘ROCKSTAR’ Stands Strong Despite Plagiarism Controversy, Nominated in 4 Categories at U.S. Music Awards

At the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (VMA), one of America's major music awards shows, BLACKPINK's Lisa has been nominated in four categories.

According to the partial list of nominees released on the VMA website on the 6th (local time), Lisa has been nominated in four categories for her solo track “ROCKSTAR”: Best K-Pop, Best Choreography, Best Art Direction, and Best Editing.

BTS’s Jungkook has been nominated in two categories—Best Collaboration and Best K-Pop—for his song “Seven,” featuring American rapper Latto.

LE SSERAFIM has been nominated for PUSH Performance of the Year with their hit song “EASY.”

The PUSH Performance of the Year is an award given to one of the artists featured in MTV’s monthly “MTV PUSH” campaign, which showcases performance videos and more.

In the Best K-Pop category, Lisa and Jungkook are joined by NCT DREAM with “Smoothie,” NewJeans with “Super Shy,” Stray Kids with “S-Class,” and TXT with “Deja Vu.”

This year’s VMA will be held on September 10 at the UBS Arena in New York.
