On August 6th, KBS stated, “The group g.o.d will appear as a guest on KBS Grand Project – 30th Anniversary Special Concert ‘Ddandara JYP’”.
A teaser video was released through KBS 2TV and KBS K-pop YouTube channels. Featuring g.o.d’s “One Candle”, written and composed by Park Jin-young, the teaser video drew pleasant reactions from fans. At the end of the video, g.o.d’s appearance in ‘Ddandara JYP’ was announced, stimulating fans’ excitement.
Park Jin-young has maintained a deep connection with g.o.d, the first idol group he produced. During the heyday of g.o.d, Park Jin-young has written and composed numerous hit songs for the group, such as “Love You and Remember You”, “Sorrow”, “Lies”, “One Candle”, “Road”, etc. g.o.d became a national group as they sold 1.84 million copies of their third album in 2000, more than 1.71 million copies of their fourth album in 2001, and swept the music awards of three broadcasting companies.
In particular, g.o.d proved their potential as a national group by easily completing 150 minutes with their hit songs through KBS’s g.o.d concert broadcasted as Chuseok special program last year.
