In the movie, Hyeri plays Pil-seon, an aspiring dancer whose life is all about dancing. She’s a high school student who has established her name in Geoje with her dancing skills and dreams of moving to Seoul to become a professional dancer. Showcasing her confidence and bold charm wherever she goes, Pil-seon is a passionate character who pursues her goals without hesitation.

At the press conference, Hyeri suddenly burst into tears upon hearing reporters’ reviews and questions after watching “Victory”. She took a few seconds to calm herself then explained the reason she cried, saying “I think they felt exactly what I wanted to express through the movie”.

Regarding her collaboration with Lee Jung-ha, Hyeri said, “Watching Jung-ha act, I felt a healthy energy from him and even wondered ‘Where did they cast this friend?’. Also, I think he suits the character Chi-hyung perfectly. I’m so grateful that Jung-ha’s lovely side could maximize the character Chi-hyung”.

She continued, “I feel a little little strange. I never cried when reading the script alone. However, during the script reading, when all the actors immersed themselves in the characters and read the liens, I felt so overwhelmed by their emotions that I could hardly continue my part”.

Hyeri shared, “While waiting for the movie premiere, we thought we wanted to give the audience a sense of encouragement and make them feel like going back to that time”, adding “We wanted to say being No.1 is not everything and express the beauty and gratitude towards other things. The reporters gave reviews exactly the same as our messages after watching the movie so I felt so touched”.

As for her character, Hyeri said, “Seeing how emotional I am, I guess this character is very special to me. It was also a challenging role”, adding “I liked the passion of this friend and found her innocence so beautiful. I hope viewers can feel Pil-seon’s passion too”.

Meanwhile, “Victory” is a film that conveys healing and comfort to viewers regardless of gender or age. It will premiere on August 14th.
