“Where Have You Been?” Byeon Woo-seok Returns After a Month With Killer Smile, Fans Relieved

On August 2nd, Byeon Woo-seok posted several photos on his personal account without any captions.

The photos included one where only his head is visible under a blanket, and others showing his signature killer smile and relaxed vibe.

Fans responded enthusiastically, with comments like, “I was about to file a missing person report“, “You’ve become even more handsome” and “Thank you so much for updating us.”

Byeon Woo-seok has been extremely popular due to his role in tvN’s “Lovely Runner”. He has been busy with advertisements, photo shoots and holding fan meetings in various countries.

However, the overwhelming number of fans wherever he goes has raised concerns about safety. Some overzealous fans have even invaded his privacy. The situation escalated on July 12th, when Byeon Woo-seok departed via Incheon International Airport for the Hong Kong stop of his first solo fan meeting tour “2024 ByeonWooSeok Asia Fanmeeting Tour SUMMER LETTER”.

During this time, security personnel hired by his agency were seen using flashlights on airport visitors, controlling entry to certain gates and checking the tickets of passengers in lounges, which caused inconvenience to general airport users. This excessive security led to a public outcry.

Byeon Woo-seok’s agency issued an apology, stating, “While we were not aware of the gate control and ticket inspection by the security firm on-site, we deeply regret and take full moral responsibility for any discomfort caused to airport users, and we sincerely apologize.”

Following the incident, Incheon Airport authorities began investigating the private security firm’s actions, considering whether the unauthorized gate control and ticket checks constituted abuse of power and coercion.
