Suzy Cast in “Delusion”, Team Up with Director Han Jae-rim

Actress Suzy will appear in director Han Jae-rim's new work "Delusion"

According to Sports Kyunghyang on July 30th, Suzy has recently been cast in “Delusion”.

Set in Gyeongseong in 1935 and Shanghai in the 1800s, “Delusion” follows the mysterious events and the captivating journey of painter Yoon Yi-ho, who is commissioned to paint the portrait of the enchanting vampire woman Song Jeong-hwa. As time goes by, the painter gradually uncovers the true identity of the woman and becomes entranced by her. The work is based on the webtoon of the same name, which was serialized on Naver from September 2019 to November 2020.

Suzy will take on the role of the mysterious vampire woman Song Jeong-hwa. Having debuted with Miss A, Suzy began her acting career in 2010 with the drama “Dream High” and rose to fame as the “nation’s first love” with her first film “Architecture 101” in 2012. She has since solidified her position as an actress with various films such as “The Sound of a Flower”, “Ashfall” and “Wonderland” as well as dramas like “Start-Up”, “Anna” and “Doona!”. Her charming image and solid acting skills have drawn attention to how she will portray the enigmatic character of Song Jeong-hwa.

This will be Suzy’s first collaboration with director Han Jae-rim. Initially, Suzy was approached for the role during the planning stages of “Delusion”, but scheduling conflicts prevented her participation. However, adjustments in the production schedule allowed her to join the project. Director Han, known for his works such as “Rules of Dating”, “The Show Must Go On”, “The Face Reader”, “The King” and “Emergency Declaration” as well as Netflix’s “The 8 Show”, has garnered recognition for his directing skills. The collaboration between Suzy and director Han is highly anticipated to see what kind of results it will produce.
