Recently, a thread accusing NewJeans’ Minji of having a bad attitude was published on the SNS platform X, drawing significant attention among Korean fans.
Among the thread, one accusation of Minji disrespecting Hyein’s mother stood out. In particular, NewJeans member previously shared that Hyein brought fruits for NewJeans members to eat, only for Minji to refuse, claiming that she is not good at removing the peach skin.
However, Minji later bought watermelon to eat, despite Hyein’s mother also sending watermelon. As a result, Hyein asked Minji directly if the watermelon sent by her mom did not taste good, to which Minji simply responded, “No, you guys eat that”.
The reaction of Minji has caused many netizens to react negatively, with some saying that she has a bad attitude. However, some also defend the female idol, saying that she can eat whatever she wants and refusing to eat some watermelon is by no means an indication of disrespect.
