Mnet To Launch New Boy Group Debut Project “Planet B”
Mnet recently unveiled their new project called “Planet B”, which will announce the birth of a global boy group
On July 29th, CJ ENM released a notice, saying “We will launch Mnet ‘Planet B’, a project to create a new boy group that will cause a stir in the global music market in 2025”.
“Planet B” is a prelude to the debut survival project to create a new global boy group. It is expected to be a journey to discover countless artist gemstones around the world regardless of nationality. Participants will be introduced to global viewers through “Planet B”, which will air on platforms such as the YouTube channel “Mnet K-pop” and Mnet Plus.
In addition, those selected through the project will have the opportunity to appear in Mnet’s mega boy group survival show scheduled to air in 2025.
The production team explained, “We plan to turn the entire audition recruitment process, which is normally conducted privately, into a prequel program”, adding “Through this project, the next generation of K-pop rising stars will be able to showcase their full potential even before the full-fledged debut survival competition. We will show you our attempts and plans to provide viewers with the fun of discovering hidden gemstones together and immersing in the process”.
“Planet B” recruits any boy born before January 1st, 2012, regardless of nationality. Applications can be submitted through the official website starting at 10 a.m. on August 10th.
