Ji Chang-wook Reveals Reason for Declining ‘The Manager’ Appearance: “Manager’s Fee Didn’t Match”

On the 24th (Wednesday), the 254th episode of tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block’ featured a special on ‘The Power of Family’. Guests included Professor Na Min-ae, who topped Seoul National University’s lecture evaluations with her writing class and is the daughter of poet Na Tae-joo; baseball coach Lee Jong-beom, known as the ‘Son of the Wind’; and actor Ji Chang-wook, who engaged in a relay talk with hosts Yoo Jae-suk and Jo Se-ho.

On this day, Ji Chang-wook revealed that his high school best friend is currently the head of his agency. They address each other informally. When Yoo Jae-suk commented, “You must have fought a lot since you’re friends,” Ji Chang-wook candidly admitted, “We had intense fights for about three years. After our schedules, we would have real fights in the underground parking lot.”

Yoo Jae-suk explained, “I asked the representative to join us today, but he specifically scheduled a meeting.” Ji Chang-wook added, “He’s a bit unique. He was invited to ‘The Manager’ show, but he declined, saying his appearance fee was too low. He considers himself a very precious manager.”

Furthermore, CEO Bang Chi-gu, in an interview with the production team, shared, “I sometimes drove while wiping away tears. Since we’ve been friends since we were kids, we talked things out. Even when I’m angry, I always have a corner in my heart that understands.”
