Jeon Soyeon Sends Love Call to NewJeans “I Can Send Them 100 Songs”

On July 22nd, (G)I-DLE’s Jeon Soyeon appeared on MBC FM4U’s “Kim Shin-young’s Noon Song of Hope” and showcased her talkative charm.

During the show, Jeon Soyeon expressed her special affection for NewJeans. When asked if there was a group she wanted to give a song to, she replied, “It would be NewJeans. I could send them not just one song, but a hundred. If they want, they can contact me.” Jeon Soyeon also mentioned her fondness for aespa, “I like all the idol groups these days. Especially aespa. They are so cool and you can really feel their love for music.”

Kim Shin-young asked if there was a song she was skeptical about while producing. Jeon Soyeon responded, “‘Super Lady’. The reason is that while we were working on it, we thought it might be difficult for people to listen to.” She continued, “We wanted to release a song that many people would listen to, but we thought ‘Super Lady’ was a necessary song for us, which made me skeptical during the composition process.”

Kim Shin-young said, “To me, ‘Super Lady’ was a turning point for (G)I-DLE. ‘Uh-Oh’ was the first turning point for me.” Jeon Soyeon commented, “It’s really nice to hear that. There were many songs that made me skeptical, including ‘Super Lady’. But the members and I always agreed that if we’re going to do this for a long time, we should try this and that.”

Meanwhile, (G)I-DLE’s 7th mini-album “I SWAY” surpassed 1 million copies, following the success of their 6th mini-album “I feel” and 2nd full album “2”, marking their third consecutive million-seller title.
