Thai Media Outlet Calls BLACKPINK Lisa’s “ROCKSTAR” MV A Replica Of Travis Scott’s “FE!N” MV

Lisa of BLACKPINK is embroiled in suspicion of plagiarism over the music video of her new solo song "ROCKSTAR."

Photographer and video director Gabriel Moses recently raised suspicions of BLACKINK Lisa’s MV plagiarizing one of his MVs on his Instagram account. He has been working on music videos for Travis Scott, Pharrell Williams, A$AP Rocky and other world-renowned artists.

In particular, a netizen on X (Twitter) pointed out that a scene of Travis Scott’s music video for “FE!N” is similar to a scene in the MV of Lisa’s new solo song “ROCKSTAR.” “FE!N” is a song from Travis Scott’s fourth studio album released in July last year, and Lisa’s “ROCKSTAR” was released on June 28.

Gabriel Moses retweeted this netizen and claimed, “They reached out to my editor to work on this btw & Fein was the reference. He said nah & they did it anyway. Enjoy the rest of your day.” At the same time, he left a message to Lisa about the alleged plagiarism, asking her to make an official statement by the end of this month.

Meanwhile, Khaosod, a Thai media outlet, also reported on the alleged plagiarism. The media said, “Lisa’s ‘ROCKSTAR’ is suspected of copying Travis Scott’s ‘FE!N’ music video created by Gabriel Moses. When comparing the music video produced by Gabriel Moses, “ROCKSTAR” looks like a replica.”
