SEVENTEEN Surpasses 3.5 Million Sales with Best Album Alone, Dominates Mid-Year Charts

SEVENTEEN has proven their unbeatable status as album powerhouses

According to the Circle Chart 2024 Mid-Year Chart released on July 12th, SEVENTEEN’s best album ’17 IS RIGHT HERE’ took the number one spot on the album chart.

SEVENTEEN recorded over 3.08 million copies sold with just the regular edition of this album, making them the only triple million seller in the first half of the year. Including the Weverse edition (ranked 38th) and the Kit version (ranked 48th), the total sales exceed 3.5 million copies.

SEVENTEEN’s new special unit JeonghanXWonwoo’s 1st single album ‘THIS MAN’ also showed impressive results. The regular and Weverse editions of this album ranked 20th and 43rd, respectively. The combined sales are close to 790,000 copies. Considering that it’s a unit album and was released on the 17th of last month, making the counting period short, this is an exceptional figure.

Not only new releases but also older albums released before 2024 have entered the charts in significant numbers. The 4th full-length album ‘Face the Sun’ released in 2022 sold over 200,000 copies, ranking 47th in the mid-year album chart. Eight of SEVENTEEN’s works, including the 9th mini album ‘Attacca’ (ranked 67th) and the 11th mini album ‘SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN’ (ranked 71st), are in the top 100 albums.

Last year, SEVENTEEN’s 10th mini album ‘FML’ set the record for the highest sales of a single K-pop album ever, immediately topping the Circle Chart’s annual album chart. The 11th mini album released the same year set the record for ‘the highest first-week sales (album sales within a week of release) in K-pop history’. SEVENTEEN’s cumulative album sales last year alone exceeded 16 million copies.

With a new album release announced for the second half of the year, there are high expectations for whether SEVENTEEN will once again become ‘million sellers’ this year, following last year.

SEVENTEEN has placed a total of seven songs, including the title track ‘MAESTRO’ from their best album, on the Circle Chart’s 2024 Mid-Year Global K-pop Chart. Four of SEVENTEEN’s songs entered the digital chart, and eight songs and four songs were ranked on the download and streaming charts, respectively.
