Billboard Korea’s “K POWER 100” Awards to be Held on August 27th

Billboard Korea will hold a new awards event

On July 6th, Billboard Korea announced, “On August 27th, we will hold the ‘billboard K POWER 100’ awards at the Hyundai Card Music Library in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

The “billboard POWER 100” is an annual event recognizing and celebrating influential figures in the global music industry by unveiling a POWER 100 list.

In celebration of the launch of Billboard Korea, the “billboard K POWER 100” awards will honor influential figures in the Korean and Asian music scenes who have made significant contributions to the music industry. This global event aims to spotlight their efforts and achievements.

The “billboard K POWER 100” awards will feature notable attendees including Billboard President Mike Van and Editorial Director Hannah Karp, as well as representatives from various international Billboard offices and key industry figures. The event is expected to bring together distinguished leaders and innovators from the music industry who are recognized both in Korea and across Asia, celebrating the accomplishments of K-pop.

Previously, in April, Mike Van officially visited Korea and held a press conference with Billboard Korea Publisher and CEO Kim Yuna to commemorate the launch of Billboard Korea. They discussed operational plans for Billboard Korea at both the headquarters and Korean branch levels, as well as various aspects of the rising global influence of K-pop.

Billboard Korea stated, “The publication schedule for ‘billboard K Vol.1’, initially set for June, has been rescheduled to be unveiled during the ‘billboard K POWER 100’ awards on August 27th, following the directives from Billboard HQ.”

The “billboard K POWER 100” awards will take place on August 27th at 5 PM at the Hyundai Card Music Library in Seoul, with the event divided into two parts: the “billboard K POWER 100” awards and the “billboard K Launch Party”.
